Waterside Hotel & Spa

UKOur review
This is the second time we have used this hotel as a stopping point prior to going to Manchester airport, the first time was in Feb 2016 prior to our tour of the deep south, as you can guess all was good on that trip so we decided to use them again.
On arrival we checked in and went to our room, to say it was small was an understatement, you could barely walk either side of the bed (which looked decidedly small) and I would doubt that you could have opened the wardrobe (although we did not try it). We decided that it was time for a chat with the reception to get a room change. The receptionist was not overly caring and did, in the end, move us to a different room. which was of a similar size and design to the one we stayed in during our first visit. Sleep was uninterrupted and very restful.
Breakfast was included in the rate we selected and was served in the main restaurant. You are instructed to wait to be seated, when the server arrived we had to decide there and then what we wanted from the kitchen and we were then shown to a table. The food arrived in a reasonable time but was not the hottest we have had and some of the ingredients were not to our liking, what was of more concern was the server clearing the plates before you had finished eating your toast, the server on this occasion was at best “not a morning person”.
The hotel also offers a large car park and also has a leisure center attached.
