Niagara Falls

Our first view of Niagara Falls was from the US side, as we drove around this area it is fair to say we were disappointed with what we saw. Our plan was to view the falls from the American side before heading to our hotel on the Canadian side, the cost of parking was the highest we had seen anywhere in the US, the cheapest we saw was $45 this was for the whole day, we decided to go across to Canada.

What a difference, as we made our way to the hotel we noticed straight away how much cleaner this side of the falls was.  We parked our car and started to explore, there were lots of places to see and we would say it was like going to a seaside resort in the UK. As we made our way down to the falls you can start to hear them, and when you finally get them insight you can feel the power of them.

We did not take any of the various tours that are available as we only had limited time but you can go on various boats to different parts of the falls as well as a zip line experience. It is well worth the visit but we would suggest that it is better viewed from the Canadian side.
