Beale Street

Without a doubt one of the entertainment streets in America! A bold statement but it is true, three blocks of bars and clubs with more live music than you could shake a soggy stick at. The bars cover all types of music from delta blues, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, R&B and gospel and they really get going the later in to the night you go and can be open until 5.00 am (if you can last that long). We tried many bars and a couple of places to eat, all the bars look like they are in need of refurbishment but this just adds to the character and experience of the whole street. There is no hesitation in us recommending you visit this street.
