Bally’s Hotel & Casino

This was planned to be our base for the week on our trip to Atlantic City, we arrived early and went to se if we could get checked in earlier than the advertised 4.00pm, in the end we got our room keys at 1.00pm. The room on the 20th floor was good and had recently been renovated.

The casino area was a lot like Las Vegas in the way it was set up, with restaurants being placed around the outside walls or located on higher floors. The most noticeable thing about this hotel was the smell of weed, we thought that it was just a one off thing when we smelt it in the car park although that also had strong smell of urine. We saw plenty of people openly smoking it in the hotel and on the boardwalk, now we must say that it is not illegal in New Jersey but if you don’t partake it is not very nice. We made the decision whilst visiting the MGM Borgata on the Sunday that we would move there on Tuesday for the remainder of our stay.

Whilst at the hotel we did visit some of the restaurants, but most were shut during our stay which was another deciding factor in the decision to move. Reviews for those visited can be seen below.
